On Saturday, February 25, more than 70 ILS Upper School young ladies, their mothers, several grandmothers, faculty and other friends gathered for what has quickly become a favorite ILS tradition, the Annual Mother-Daughter Tea. Now in its 4th year, this event is a lovely opportunity for our community to gather in fellowship, enjoy tea and delicious treats, share delightful conversation around themes of beauty.
This year, attendees discussed the beauty and art of hand-written notes. In addition to having a chance to write a special note to a friend or family member, everyone also had the chance to try their hand at calligraphy. In past years, themes have included beauty in fashion and beauty in decorating and design.
We are extremely grateful to UpCycle Creative Reuse Center for providing us with so many supplies for the day, including the beautiful table coverings, lovely stationery for our attendees to write noteson, and even packets of note cards so that each of our Upper School young ladies was able to go home with her own set of cards on which she could write thank you notes, letters to family, or a special greeting to a friend.
It was a lovely day, and we are so grateful for all the students, mothers, grandmothers and friends who joined us for this wonderful tradition. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
