Update from the Schultz Family

After 5 years teaching at Immanuel, Mr. Aaron Schultz and his family moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, this past summer, where Mr. Schultz is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity at Concordia Theological Seminary in preparation for ordination in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

Becoming a pastor is something that had been on Mr. Schultz’s heart and mind for more than a decade. After visiting CTS last fall, he felt confident it is the Lord’s will to pursue this vocation.

Throughout the year, we’ll be sharing regular updates, like the one today, from the Schultz family as they live, study and work in Fort Wayne.

Please join us in praying for Mr. & Mrs. Schultz, along with their children, Canon, Ben, Sam, and their baby boy due in November.

Wonderful greetings to our Immanuel family! Indeed, family! ... because we still see Immanuel as our family, even though we're several states away! I completed Greek over the summer. In many ways, Greek is very mathematical: patterned and full of rhythm. And so naturally, with my enjoyment for math, I delighted in learning the original language of the New Testament.

I am half way through the first quarter. My course schedule for this quarter includes: Church History, Liturgics, Gospels, Dogmatics, Greek Readings, and Field Education. Keeping up with the workload can be a daunting task, especially with family, but by Him I'm making it through.

Katie is working at Lutheran South Unity School in Fort Wayne as their school office administrator, but she will be taking a leave of absence starting in November to be home with our newborn boy (Nov 15 is the due date!). Benjamin and Samuel are attending Mt. Calvary Lutheran Preschool; and Canon is a student at Redeemer Lutheran Classical School. (I am also teaching a couple hours a week at Redeemer!) Between the five of us, we're at four different Lutheran institutions! I do look forward to the days when we're not so spread out.

Until we see in person, God's perfect peace.

Aaron, Katie, Canon, Benjamin, Samuel, and one more in November!
