Meet Us Monday: Miss Anastasiya Camp, 2nd Grade Teacher

As we begin the 2021-2022 school year, we are continuing our Meet Us Monday Blog series to introduce you to the outstanding new teachers joining our ILS faculty this year. Check in each week to meet or better get to know one of the new members of our team.

Today, we are introducing you to Miss Anastasiya Camp. Miss Camp joins the Immanuel faculty as our 2nd Grade Teacher.


  1. What are you most looking forward to about working at ILS?

    Becoming a part of a Lutheran community and trying myself in the role of a teacher.

  2. What book are you currently reading?

    I was in the middle of reading a few books before things became busy. I am almost done reading Scarlet Sails by Alexander Grin.

  3. What was your favorite thing you did this summer?

    Completing my first commission for my university alma mater at the same time as the largest painting I've ever done.

  4. What is one place you would like to visit but have not yet been?

    There are so many places, I love to travel. Most of all I would have to say is Germany, specifically the place of my ancestors.

  5. What was your favorite subject/class when you were in school? 

    My favorite subject in school was art.

  6. What was your favorite book as a child?

    I liked to be read to by my parents. My favorite book was The Horse and His Boy from the Narnia Chronicles.

  7. What is your favorite scripture verse? 

    "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, which supases all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." NKJV Philippians 4:6-7
