Today, we invite you go get to know ILS Manager of Operations, Miss Gabriel Fickenscher, with her recent “Meet Us Monday” interview.
This is Miss Fickenscher’s third year at ILS In addition to likely being the first person you speak with if you call the school, she handles all aspects of the day-to-day business operations of the school.
What is your favorite thing about ILS?
I love the ILS community of students, parents, and staff.
What book are you currently reading?
The Spirituality of the Cross by Gene Edward Veith Jr.
What was your favorite thing you did this summer?
What I enjoyed most this summer was attending my brother's ordination and installation as a pastor at his first congregation.
What is one place you would like to visit but have not yet been?
I would really like to visit Greece.
What was your favorite subject/class when you were in school?
My favorite subject in school was math.
What was your favorite book as a child?
My favorite book as a child was Remember the Stars by Lois Lowry.
What is your favorite scripture verse?
One of my favorite Bible verses is from Matthew 6: "Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them...Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." (Matthew 6:26 & 33)
