Meet Us Monday: Mrs. Christina Egger, 1st Grade Assistant Teacher

As we count down to the 2021-2022 school year, we are bringing back our Meet Us Monday Blog series to introduce you to the outstanding new teachers joining our ILS faculty this year. Check in each week to meet or better get to know one of the new members of our team.

Today, we are introducing you to Mrs. Christina Egger, who will be our 1st Grade Assistant Teacher.

  1. What are you most looking forward to about working at ILS?

I am most looking forward to getting to know my class and being able to learn more about education in a classical Lutheran school.

  2. What book are you currently reading?

I am currently reading No Country For Old Men.

  3. What was your favorite thing you did this summer?

This summer I got married and went on an amazing honeymoon to the Rocky Mountains.

  4. What is one place you would like to visit but have not yet been?

Though I studied abroad in England for a semester in college and was able to travel to many European countries, I was unable to visit Spain and hope to be able to some time in the future!

  5. What was your favorite subject/class when you were in school?

My favorite class in school was Art.

  6. What was your favorite book as a child?

As a child I loved the Magic Tree House books, my favorite of which was Dolphins at Daybreak.

  7. What is your favorite scripture verse?

My favorite scripture verse is Romans 8:38-39. "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
